ZW09 day seven, lick

“katara?” zuko whispered. It was early. And he, and katara apparently, were the only ones up.
“what are you doing up so early?”  she turned and looked at him.
“oh I’m making ice pops for everyone with the fruit you gathered yesterday. At the moment I’m mixing the fruits so they’re creamy.” zuko was listening, he really was but his mind kept wandering: katara wasn’t wearing her usual blue trousers beneath her  tunic. In fact she was wearing a very low cut and revealing tunic and no trousers whatsoever.
“oh I see.” he managed to muster in a tight voice. “well, do you mind if I train while you do that? I need to keep up my practicing for the big day.” she smiled. Man, he loved that smile, it was so warm.
“sure. it’s a free courtyard, and after all this is your house.” katara then struggled to keep her attention on the task she had previously been doing, as she kept glancing over in zuko’s direction then getting distracted for minutes at a time. She finally measured all the cups out and put the gooey liquid into them. Then with a small flick of both wrists she created an icy mist that formed on her fingertips and swiftly grew down her hands and along her arms. She then sent this mist swirling all around the cups and put wooden sticks into the mixtures before freezing them completely. Then she hid them from the rising sun in a cupboard and lined said cupboard with ice to refrigerate the cool snacks.

When it came time to dish the treats out, katara reached into the cupboard and took each person’s lolly out in turn and delivered it to them.
“thanks katara” chimed suki as she received hers
“you’re awesome sugar queen” came Toph’s  voice from behind the bangs that hid her face.
“katara!” whined sokka when he held his up to observe it. “why’s mine the smallest?”
Everyone chuckled at this and katara gave aang his with a huge smile on her face, which he returned tenfold.
When she gave zuko his sokka groaned even more, as zuko’s was the biggest in the group and everyone laughed again.
“oh momo!” katara whined. The small lemur was sat in the cupboard finishing off katara’s ice pop.
“oh katara, there’s none for you! Suki said sympathetically. “is there any more mixture?”
“nope.” katara sighed. “oh well I’ll just have to share with someone.” aang stood immediately and a smile spread across his face.
“I’ll share with you katara!” he beamed. Katara laughed.
“no that’s okay aang, zuko’s is the biggest after all.” she turned to zuko and pulled his hand towards her face, bringing the fruity ice pop with it. Zuko went rigid. Katara was barely three inches from his face, and only that distance because he was about 3 inches taller than her. She hesitated with the ice pop right in front of her lips, and her hand still on zuko’s, which was holding the stick.
“you don’t mind sharing with me zuko, do you?” she smiled, sweetly. Zuko couldn’t resist that smile, and began to stutter a “n-no not at all”  but before he could finish she pulled the lolly the rest of the way to her lips and licked the length of the lolly. She did so two more times, but the second time she did this she caught a protruding part of his hand with her tongue. Zuko felt a sudden rush of blood to his cheeks.
Katara smiled smugly, and she blushed also.
